I have the craftsman, lawn mowers, dyt4000, bob vila series, i purchase it new in 2004. It has developed a problem withe governor control, it has no control at all, it wants to run wide open all the time, i used a piece of wire to hold the control to idle at about half spped so i could use it. A machanic told me that a pin in the control shaft has lost a pin inside the engine and would cost about $800.00 to fix it.
Has this been a problem with this tractor engine . (POSIBLE RECALL PROBLEN?)
