Everyone is slightly different so their diets may vary slightly depending on the who they are and the climate they live in. My grandmother got cancer in the mid 1970's and got the normal chemotherapy and radiation. But new cancer cells would always reappear in her body within a short time and then she'd just have to get the expensive and painful treatment all over again. Finally the doctors told her she'd be dead in 6 months and that there was nothing that they could do. they put her on a healthy diet and had her getting exercise every day, and low and behold, in 6 months she had every cancer cell in her body disappear and she never had cancer the rest of her life. It had far more success than the western medicine approach. This diet I tried myself for some neurological trouble I was having and while I didn't have quite the same success with those troubles, but it kept me so healthy in every other way I couldn't believe it, I almost never got colds or any sickness,so I have stuck to the diet ever since then. I've never seen a family doctor since sometime around 1975, and I feel the diet has kept me very healthy. Finally a cyst was found in my brain and an operation removed that. But the diet I've kept very strict with for over 30 years. It helped a fellow musician I know recover from asthma by at least 95%, far more than any medical doctor's treatments had ever cured it, and I have found that if ever I start to catch a cold from some student of mine(which rarely ever happens) I recover very quickly from the cold with the treatments I give myself using certain foods to help myself recover and by just keeping my immune system strong. Supposedly with the diets most people eat today mostly meat dairy and sugar make us very aggressive and more likely to fight wars and never want to give in regardless of the fact that according to the bible we must "prepare table in the presence of our enemies, thou anointest my head with oil and my cup runneth over" to me that says we should be surrendering to all our enemies and making peace with them, not fighting them. Now I don't know if that will be possible till the whole world eats a healthier diet and can surrender to each other. But basically the diet we need to eat is one with out much meat(if any), without dairy and without sugar, and without a few other things too that everyone these days just loves to eat. We must give up fast food places, for their food is horrible to our health. When we eat food from animals that have been tortured(like they all are just before and as they're being killed)well we all are what we eat, and we end up torturing others and killing others. Books by Michio Kushi, George oshawa and others expain it very well. Also Will Tuttle PhD wrote a great book "the World Peace Diet" where he came up with pretty similar conclusions. When we can eat organically grown foods and base our diets on mostly grains , legumes, veggies, and fruit with some nuts seeds and sea vegetables, and maybe a little amount of the easiest meat to digest(like fish if we want it, but only for a very small amount of our diet) then we will be healthier, our immune system won't be greatly weakened by lactose and the ingredients in soft drinks, and we'll be able to fight off most diseases by ourselves with no need to see doctors. What we'd probably have to see doctors for would be more for accidents or broken bones, or for things that required surgery. This would greatly lower the need for our very active medical programs that we presently have for then we could be our own doctors most of the time. It took me being on the diet for a while before I really started to understand it better. But now I strongly believe in the whole philosophy on how to take care of ourselves and be our own doctors. I have also read that to feed the entire world on red meat would be impossible. It would require to much land and to much H20. So we really have to find other diets we can live on that don't require so much land to supply food for the world population we have today. We must be careful that we get all the proper nutrition we need when we go on this diet, but I didn't find it hard at all. It does take great discipline today to stay on a diet like this with all the temptations we get every day. We have to reject offers from friends and bring our own foods along with us most of the time so most people find it very hard to stick to. For me I've strongly believed in it and I've stuck to it very happily for over 3 decades. I started it in 1978. Good Luck.
