Never wake feeling refreshed

No matter how much or little sleep I get I always wake feeling groggy and dont really function well for at least 30mins. My little sister is the same way. I thought I had sleep drunkeness syndrome but that seems perhaps a bit more extreme than what I have. So far as I can tell the way I feel is the way a person feels when they are woken during Stages 3/4 (delta sleep). These are the deep sleep stages, and this is when body restoration and repair occurs. Temperature drops even further during this phase, brain waves are slow and there is decreased muscle tone. People woken during delta sleep are often groggy and disoriented. Night terrors occur during this sleep stage. I feel like I have tried everything. I preety much never wake up feeling good. Please advise.

I'm no expert but have had this effect for the last several years,  I was told by a doc. I had poor blood flow while lying down, and that I dream about working and this mentley make ya tired, I would have to think your oxygen level mite have somthing to do with it .  You have this checked out it mite cure your situation the best of luck God Bless G.B.

Thank you very much. I was thinking it might be a low oxygen issue. My husband used to shake me awake because he got scared; I would sleep so very soundly that he thought I was not breathing. I will check into the blood flow as well. My mother did have a poor circulation disorder so perhaps I do as well. God Bless right back atcha! ;-)

Great ideas guys! I would talk to an adult or see a doctor ASAP!
