Looking for an unbiased call on a "let" in a tennis match

In a high school district varsity match the ball is in play. This is the third set of the match.  One player on the doubles team has a hat on. The ball has been volleyed several times. The point is won but the opponent's hat falls off. The line judge calls a "let" because there is a hat on the ground The judge was only there to call the lines. He never called a let when tennis balls rolled onto the court. Should the call stand? Neither team called a let. Who should have won that point?
