It's supposed to be against FCC regulations, but most ads are recorded significantly louder than the TV programs. They think it's supposed to get your attention, but most people simply find it annoying.

Lido I have to have the T. V. on to sleep with and WOW, when the commercials come on I jump 6 inchs off the bed, seens that they are getting louder.

I hate them so much. Here I am, watching a serious TV program, on the edge of my seat. When suddenly some random person I don't know is screaming at me to go to Old Navy. I hate those new old navy ad's, I never shopped at Old Navy  normally, but now I avoid that store like the plague.
