It depends how you intent to travel. By public transport or by car.

If by car, you could try the AA's route planner http://www.theaa.com/route-planner/index.jsp
On public transport it's a lot quicker if you take advantage of the Heathrow Express or Heathrow Connect train services than run into London Paddington. You can pick up the London Underground from there.
