Thanks for the reply. Prices on the web site you gave are similar to those I`ve seen already - around 100 euros (£100) for two adults and one motorcycle, one way only. I did this crossing in 1969 and it was relatively cheap back then, a lot less than crossing the English channel at the time for example. Of course I don`t expect the price to be on a par with 1969, but for a fairly short crossing it seemed rather pricey. I have on occasion paid for ferry travel without prior booking, just arriving at the port and taking a chance. I wondered whether anyone had done the same thing recently at Algeciras and if so, what was their experience. I am grateful for your help, thanks again. John.
