Do these symptoms add up

In 2004 my husband was running up the stairs with the boys when he reached the top he had the feeling that he had lost his balance week later when playing basketball he fell while backpuddeling and broke his wrist. His wrist was plated back together and healed fine but after this his blood pressure which had always been normal went up and his erections went down some what and his balance was never as good as it had been. He is convinced that all his problems started with the imbalance that day does any one know of a corallation between these symptoms?

Yes!  I suggest you read more about Vertigo.  Here is the wikipedia link for some basic information or a good place to start. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertigo_(medical)

In addition, there has been a proven correlation between blood pressure abnormalities and those with Vertigo in approximately 20% of patients.  (see source (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2274319)

It can be temporary due to infection, injury, migraine or medication.  Some people have a permanent form.  It has to do with damage to the vestibular system (something wrong with the inner ear) or another part of the nervous system.

Of course, it is always a good idea to discuss your symptoms and concerns of possible correlation/causations with a physician.  They know more of the personal history/environment and may have an alternative suggestion.

Good luck!
