erythema is redness usually from irritation/inflammation. gastritis is inflammation of the stomach. they go hand in hand. the report just means your stomach lining is red and irritated or inflamed. this can happen  with stomach viruses and hypersecretion(overproduction) of stomach acids.

There is something going on within your stomach and it sounds like diet related. There is some inflammation and some form of irritation or rawness. You may want to increase on bulk (bran flax powder etc). Also increase on green veggies, broccoli, lettuce etc. I hope it is not diverticulitis. If it is the early stages stay away from fried food and try stir fry or steam foods. Any medical diagnosis ending with "itis" translate into inflammation.
