Be Blessed.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (Love), I am become as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauneth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seekth not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is (Love) charity.

Hi Asha,

No I don't. Once we die our spirit goes back to the creator to await the day of judgement.

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement:

Be Blessed

You wouldn't worry nearly so much about what other people thought of you if you knew how seldom they did.

I would expect many yes's and many no's to this question.  Obviously no-one can know, can they?  The secret is to understand that there is a way to be completely happy, completely fulfilled, with a daily sense of 'being at home' in the universe without needing to know what happens after death . . . if anything happens.

It is the ego that is afraid of death.  One can quite simply make friends with one's death if one is willing to let the ego drop away and find it replaced by humility.  Daily we are offered the bread of humbling truth every time we get upset inside for any reason.  We maintain a great deal of mental anguish within us in the areas of fear, anger, self pity, desire for more, sense of failure, self loathing, guilt, shame, etc, because there is a reward for the ego in maintaining the thinking that creates all that negative emotion.  Freeing oneself from egoism (self-centeredness) is the only way out.  With the lessening of egoism (through changing one's way of thinking every time one hurts inside for any reason towards the truth that is humility) there is the beginning of true happiness.  Pure egoism, of course, provides nil capacity for truly loving anyone (we are not speaking of physical attraction which only sets up additional mental anguish when thwarted).  Pure humility allows for perfect love for everyone.  With humility there are no 'thems,' there are only 'us's.'

So the secret is to learn that if Love, Truth, Wisdom, and Understanding is/are backing up this business of living, we humans are always being moved, either by the tons of mental anguish we live with ultimately forcing us to internalize humbling truths, or by the simple and much more enjoyable expedient of surrendering to the movement, from egoism towards humility.

On the other hand, if, as many scientists and ever more simply 'bright' people are thinking, human life has no ultimate meaning to it at all, then we live in a dense cloud of pure meaninglessness, and it would be foolishness to allow egoism to prevent one from living a beautifully happy life since that one life is all one can have.  Meditate upon this.  See that your sense of being in your depth is trying to inform you that egoism is a ridiculous, lonely, isolated way of life, as well as being a lie, and that the only freedom a human being can every know is doing what they ought to do because they want to do it.  That state of being comes only through the attainment of humility because so long as we are enamored with our egos, we remain slaves to, and are driven by, ego-neediness.  Love and Blessings - Chuck

Yes, if there is an important enough reason.  What that reason could be, I don't know.  You would have to ask one of them if they visit you.
