A friend bought mink oil for work boots he rubbed it all over his boots wore them the next day and they stretched how can he shrink them back!!
The oil that was applied has softened the leather. The best way may be to thouroughy wet the boots and let them dry naturally. This can be achieved by soaking in a bucket with some cool water. Some of the excess mink oil should bead away. Let dry for a few days. do not apply heat, but drying process may be accelerated by using a fan.
