I must shampoo everyday. Suggestions? Sympathy?

I work out a good bit a sweat a lot when I'm at the gym. There is no way I can NOT wash my hair. Because I have a short hairstyle, I am not able to do an up do worthy of business attire. I have yet to find a way to avoid washing my hair 5 to 6 days a week, but everything I read tells me to not wash it so often. Dry shampoos do not shake out the creases left by ponytail holders and sleeping nor do they remove the sweat of running a 5K in Mississippi heat. Suggestions? Sympathy? What are some good conditioning/repair tricks since I can't avoid my delima?

Lately hair care companies are creating a plethora of new products designed to clean your hair differently than normal shampoos . Does it work? Yes, the dry shampoo works for absorbing oil. It also is scented so it’ll leave a bit of that fragrance behind. But it doesn’t clean your hair nearly as well as a regular shampooing. It also may leave a white residue and can leave hair feeling gross. However, if you want to skip a shampooing day or two this product is good in a pinch. It’s also good for color treated hair because it will help reduce the amount of color lost. Also read healthy hair tips as reference .

I've got baby fine hair. When I was younger, if I didn't shampoo every day I'd look like I dunked my bangs in olive oil.

(Now that I'm becoming silver-haired, I no longer have that problem. The silver hairs are thicker and curlier - so they can go a day without a wash.)

Go ahead and wash your hair once a day. Just use a mild shampoo and only wash it the once (don't do the whole lather, rinse, repeat routine).

It won't hurt your hair one bit.

I recommend Loreal EverPure. You can get it at CVS.

What you think about you bring about!!!

You should try those shampoos that say they can be used every day...also, make your final rinse (after conditioner if you use it, or just after shampooing if you don't) a COOL rinse......NOT cold.....this helps a little in closing down the cuticle -outer-layer of the hair strand and gives a little shine.......there's nothing wrong with shampooing  every day; just use the shampoo that's made for that, and not an ordinary type!! and great that you work out!! more than most of us can say!!
