I noticed that the Montebello City Council has formed an ad-hoc "committee" to monitor? the Montebello Hills Spicific plan? EIR? Project. That two councilpersons were selected seems as a means to circumvent the Brown Act whereas more would have triggered Brown Act requirements.
Who are the other members of this committee? Are there any staff or public members. Does the City attorney represent this group or is Special counsel required?
I would suggest that all meetings of this group ve videotaped and posted on the City Website. Items which might be considered priveledged should be handled by the Elected City Council as a whole, aggrandized in open or closed session as appropriate.
Are there any conflicts with the functions of the redevelopment agency?
