How much rent to charge?

I need your help.  My son's ex girlfriend and his 5 yr old son moved in with us.  They are still very good friends and I like her.  She couldn't afford to pay $1,000 a month rent with all her expenses so we agreed to let her live with us until she can find a more reasonable apt.  She said she wants to contribute and can pay a bill or whatever.  She uses the washer and dryer, cooks, does buy food at times, watches tv, lights are on late, I was wondering if you could help me out with deciding how much I should ask her to contribute.  What would be reasonable?  She is a legal secretary, 34 yrs. old, very smart and brings home about $800 a month.  Thank you, I really appreciate your feedback.  xoxooxoxoo

If she brings home nearly $2,400 a month, she should be able to pay rent. What are all of these expenses she has which preclude her from doing so?

This a question that I can`t answer as an expert in my field but I will as a friend.

in the case you described the "rent" you should sharge her depends on several thigs.

1. your need of this rent money? Do you need that little money for rent she could give you ?

2. if she is contributing with a bill or so then, do you think she is paying for what she is using in this apartment.

3 if you want to be by the book, a 3ed of her income should go to apartment rent so you can ask her for $240

Hope that helps and thanks for asking.

when you have a chancse take a look at my site and tell me whet you think.

www.ApartmentsRentRebate.come and it is an apartment rental that gives Apartment Rebate for people that us it`s free service.

Thanks
