Kailyn,

Praying is talking to God.  You can talk to God when you thank Him for

everything that He has given you and you pray when you have troubles.  You

pray when you ask Him anything you need.  So I think it's us who have the need to

pray to Him.

So I got me a pen and a paper, and I made up my own little sign. I said, "Thank you, Lord, for thinkin' about me, I'm alive and doin' fine."

Hi Kailyn; We find in the Book of Luke Chapter 18 1-5; that Jesus told us in a parable that we "ought always to pray. And Paul said in 1 Thessalonians - Chapter 5  "Pray without ceasing".  Jesus said that we should pray and ask whatever we needed and He would answer.  Jesus wants us to seek him in prayer.  Jesus did not set an amount of times a day that we should pray. Jesus when He prayed in the Garden, knew that the disciples could not even pray for an hour.  So it is up to you. I will tell you that the more you pray the more you know you ought to pray, and the more you will want to pray. I hope this helps you some. God Bless You.

And each time you communicate with a friend, you get closer. Likewise, the more you pray to our Creator, you put yourself on a path to being closer. What will really help you to get closer is to read the Bible daily. Then, you will come to know Almighty God and know what is expected of you.

Constantly.

As oasis in the desert, as boat in the sea, as the only star at night, Prayer is refuge and consolation, hope and source of inspiration, where we also find the purest intimacy, the repentance to claim for help, in order to be able to have a dialogue with God. But, should prayer be as a rescue boat? as the required visit to the hospital because of an emergency?
Prayer, is much more than that. And above all, is the essential embrace to cultivate the wonderful power of faith and it is not pain, its spur, it is not the pressing need, its reason. Prayer is as singing, praising the happiness and awakening to the eternal day by day.
Prayer, not only claims, but also and above all, praises. God, is not only mercy and consolation, He, also is, plenitude of life, permanent joy. And it is not only to look for Him in the difficult moments, since He is path of life, which is essential for spiritual knowledge. That is why, this spiritual cultivation is love that grows, that does not rest, that is fervent and diligent and that rather pursues the eternal embrace, and which is Love for Love, in the prayer where the human spirit awakes to the divine plenitude. And this is not because of a cause or need but rather for the love which is unconditional, since God is, and will always be the path to reality, the path to Truth, since all which is good and lasts and is true is found in Him. Let’s praise His Presence, and in His Presence, we should be with Humility and Surrender.
