dog has hookworms - is there anything I can put on the ground (after removing feces) that will help pet from being reinfected?
There use to be chemicals that you could get at the Veterinarian to treat the ground for the hookworm eggs. I use to carry this product but that was 15 years ago. I don't know if they even make this product anymore. The best way to deal with hookworms is to give your pet "Intercepter" every month. It has a chemical in it that will prevent hookworm infestation. It can be gotten from your vet or on line with a prescription
