Best places to visit in Israel

Hi,

I did like to know the best places to visit from the Mid of January, as I will be there. This is my first visit, it would be greatly appreciated, if I could also know information abt, what to wear, what to eat, and what to put upon my feet.

Thanks,

Sam

The best thing you should do is to contact a travel agency specializing in tours to Israel. They will give you all the information that you need for your travel to israel.

You can check my web site www.benayahblum.co.il or my company's website www.ahalan.co.il . I have a few programs of different character of tours there. Once you decide what tour you want to make, I will be able to plan for you YOUR specialized tour, and accordingly give you advice as to what to wear, eat, etc...

At any case, in January you should take some protection against the rain (it might even snow in certain areas in Israel!).

Love is the battery of life....

Hi Sam,
I'll try to be short.
1.  Israel is a relatively small country and if you are based in
it's middle you can reach within a couple of hours any point
2.  January is the middle of the winter.  You can expect rainy
days.  Very seldom it snows and only in very few small ereas.
3.  The temps are not that low.  During day time it will be 12-18
degrees (celsius).    At night the teps can drop to 5-12 c.
4.  You need a coat.  Not more.
5.  Even in January you might get nice warm sunny days !.
Tourist feom Sweden enjoy swimming in the sea......
6.  Eilat and Dead sea are warm even in January !.
7.  Real snow only in the Golan Heights.
8.  Normal warm shoes will do (nothing special).
Best regards,

To say nothing, especially when speaking, is half the art of diplomacy.

Jerusalem (a must to visit) bring warm clothes and a raincoat. I would also recommend that you visit the Dead Sea and Masada. This is only about a 45 minute drive from Jerusalem but a totally different climate. Here you will be able to float in the Dead Sea and at Masada here you will be able to explore one of the most impressive historical sites in the world. During January the temperature is usually very warm because it is 400 meters below sea level. For more information see this web site from the Israel Ministry of Tourism.
