My pets and I are being tormented by fleas.  Does anyone have a home remedy for getting rid of these critters?

Try sprinkling some Borax around the house.  It is safe for humans, but fleas and other insects don't like it.  Also, put some apple cider vinegar in your pet's water as it is a natural repellent.  When you bath them you can use a little dawn dish soap to kill/stun the fleas.  Finally, start vacuuming more often.

Lavender oil or a B supplement from your local vet will do the trick. this will not stop fleas from wanting jump on them, but once they figure it out they leave because hey don't like it one bit.

I found this answer on a home remedy site:

Give your pet a bath in dawn dish-washing liquid the fleas die quickly. Also mix some in a sprayer to spray infested area`s they die to.

You can use Dawn original Dish Soap, or a dog flea shampoo with Neem oil on it! But if the fleas are really bad you need to Bomb the house with a flea & tick Bomb.

The way we got rid if flees on the farm was Sevin powder.  You can get it at a hardware store like True Value. You can also use it on vegetables Sprinkle the powder on the animal. They can lick it and it never hurt them. You can sprinkle it on the carpet and then vacuum . If the house is infested and they are indoor animals you'll need to bomb the house. The flees even get into the baseboard. Good luck. After the powder and a flee bath get a collar. You shouldn't get them back. Good luck.
