I asked this one already!

Hi Lido,

I have many, but my peeve of the day (or week) probably depends on where I've been and what's happened while I was there.

At the moment, my biggest pet peeve is the person in the next door building with the small, obnoxious, yappy dog that they don't have under control.

It is allowed to run outside unsupervised - and it barks and yaps at any and everybody who walks past (and if you try to run it off, its owners come out and get pissy about it).

Of course, sometimes they come outside and call it - which consists of them standing at the top of the stairs (their apartment is on the second floor) and screaming, "Star! ... Star-star! Come here, now!"

It's as effective as their method of calling and/or disciplining their child - which is to say, not at all.

I love dogs, but I have never wanted an air pistol (or a can of Mace) so badly in all my life...

P.S. I answered yours, now you answer mine!

My pet peeve is people who are late. Then what irks me more is when others say "Oh let's wait for so and so."  They attempt to be kind to the person who is late, but they are being rude to the people who were on time. This is especially irksome when it is a dinner that is made to be late because of late people.  I think that dinner should be served on time and the late person can just get there when they get there without causing everyone else to wait. thank you, I'm glad I had this chance to vent.

jkgrandma, honestly I was not aware that this question was asked before.

Since you put  me on the spot  I will give you 2 pet peeves off the top of my head.

1. People who say "you know" in every sentence.

2. People who say "like" several times in every sentence.

It's like, you know, irritating!

I'm sure we are not the only two people who have ever asked that question.

(You can see mine - that I asked 4 months ago - if you look at the bottom of this page and the 'Explore Related Questions' section.)

The only things in life you regret, are the chances you didn't take.

My pet peeve is this:  I've been breeding top quality doxies for 9 years now.  As a breeder and member of many breed clubs I am so disgusted at the number of people breeding these so called designer dogs,,, they are mutts people, mixed breeds & our shelters are full of them.  Why are people paying these exorbitant prices when you can go to your local shelter and rescue an animal for around 95.00?????  Doodles, poo's, uggles, it's gotten ridiculous.  Lets not destroy our purebred dogs.  Save a dog if you want a mixed breed, visit your local shelter today.
