Our school wants me to paint a mural on our wall the paint on the wall is oil based and I was going to use like Apple Barrel Acylics to paint it but see that is not possible what can I use?

They make primers that will go over oil and allow  you to paint with latex. Check with Ferrell, Sherwin-Williams, or any of your local paint stores.

Jay is right . You can also buy an oil based gesso / primer at the art supply store .

I'm not sure what "Apple Barrel acrylics " are but acrylics are plastic and plastic has nothing to hold onto , with an oil surface . Are Apple Barrel , a brand of spray paints?
