I think the more important question would be, what didn't they wear? the upper class or royalty wore head dresses... actually, when royalty was born, the infants heads were wrapped up in tight cotton fabric to extend their scalps, so they ended up with cone heads. They also had holes drilled into their teeth and jade insets placed in. CRAZY stuff if you ask me but it's true! But... i think, not 100% as it's been years since i studied this stuff... middle class would just wear normal cotton clothing, maybe some jewelry...
