How is it that if you have a set of data, x1,y1....xn,yn with a known linear relationship between x & y (y = mx + c), and the best straight line fit MUST go through xbar, ybar (xbar average of all x values, ybar is average of all y values).

He loves to get some love.

My boyfriend loves alot of mushy attention, and compliments ALOT. We talk to each other everyday and see each other alot. But im afraid if i over do the affection it will scare him away. Like he will think that im obsessed with him. Of course i love him and of course im willing to show it, but i find that a little compliment or a sweet remark doesn't go very far. ( it might in his head) Like I will say, goodnight handsome, and he will be like awwwwwwww aren't you the sweetest thing. Then pass out, totally forgetting that i said that the next morning. He also shows me alot of affection. But sometimes I have to fish it out of him. He is quite generous in telling me how "gorgeous" and "sweet" I am. So I guess im just not used to having a man who is needy. What do I do, we have been together for around 4 months.

You don't have to do anything. If you talk to him sweetly and compliment him often as seems reasonable to you then don't worry about it. Seems to me the problem is on his end. He is overly needy. That is something he will have to deal with and solve. Just because someone is needy does not mean that you have to try to solve it for him. That will get exhausting for you. If he is a bottomless pit there is no way for you to fill it up. He will have to deal with it himself.  In other words, a person's sense of self esteem and value comes from within himself. It is not something you can give him.

CrazyJenner,

If you have to fish affection out of him, he might not be that "into you."  Maybe ask yourself, "what do I have in common with him?"  A great relationship is more than physical attraction, compliments and having someone else validate your self worth.  You should be comfortable with yourself first before seeking a companion.  In other words, just be yourself and expect him to be himself.  Sometimes people make the mistake of expecting others to fulfill what's missing within themselves.  Good luck.

Blessings,

That's fine, admire him. There's nothing wrong w. that, my boyfriend is identical. He complains alottt too, but when he's happy he's the most clingy mushy guy ever. And he get's mad if i'm not he same way towards him. I mean he's your boyfriend, why can't you be nice to him? Exactly, he won't mind.
