You sound like a sweet girl who might have to wait 3 more years to make your move. By then, your Mr. hot will be 33. When you are 25 he will be 40.. When you are 35 he will be 50! You might want to rethink this age gap. In the long run he might not be so hot to you after all! So if you get together, you will be young and full of life, you'll be attracted 30 year old hot guys and stuck with an old one!
I suggest keeping this infatuation simple, practice enjoying an attractive man's friendship. You will meet a lot of them in your lifetime, believe me. Keeping this one as a friend could turn out to be more rewarding and infomative then if you tried to get personally involved with him.
Btw, you say you're nothing much to look at... I don't believe that, but FYI.. girls do really "blossom" in their 20's and 30's.
