how do I mortar chink a log home I do not have the 1" or wider gap,my logs are the same thickness they have been plained to 12" there is a seal between each log but leaves only about 1/2" gap I read that you need to put nails in the crack to give the mortar something to bond to but this is near impossible to get them in such a tighy spot,what do I need to do?
