Any knowlege of people to people programs?

My fifth grade boy has recieved an invitation to travel withthe people to people international student ambassador program in summer of 2010. Is there anyone that has done the same and what kind of experience did they have? Would they recomend it to others? Is it worth $5500?

It sounds like a great program. What I would do is ask People to People if it is possible for both you and your son to be put in contact with former participants. This way you can get real feedback and not just a sales pitch.
