How do i introduce a new bird into a cage that already has a bird in it

how to add another cockatiel into a cage with another ive had one female and i am getting a male will they get  along and how should i  introduce them to each other  help faye

I put two cages next to each other and watch them. When they show they want to be together then put one in and watch to see if they still get along.

Yes you can place two cockatiels together but get a new cage big enough for both them. I prefer the tall cages as the cockatiels like height but they also need a cage wide enough to spread their wings and plenty of toys. The reason I say a new cage is because of the cockatiel you have now might cause problems because of the dominance issue. If you get a new cage and place both of them in there it should not be a problem.
