i had a contractor who underbid my home and failed to pay subs. sub leins were no good, but contractor put a lein on my home also, which he thinks is good and has been trying to pursue it. i got rid of him do to leins and breach of contract, he still thinks i owe him for extras, but nothing is in writing and as far as im concerned he corrected a problem in his work and we are even. i would like to know if anyone can answer this, the contract was only in my name, not my wifes and i who also is on title. since both name were not on contract can contractor lein my home. also if contractor leaves job for thirty days, did he adbandon job? thanks
