I would like to change to florescent bulbs but having trouble finding ones that work with dimmers. We have them all over our house. Not just any will work in a dimmer will they?

They make them but they are very expensive. You have to go to an electrical suppy house to get them.
Also you have to change dimmers and they are also very expensive.
