Ask Eric Stromer a question here.
I recently redid an old wrought iron rail on my porch by using paint remover jell and a sander. There were places that the drop cloth did not cover on top of the tile outside and it ruined the finish of the tile in spots (the tile sealant). I ended up using the paint remover jell over the entire tile area of the porch to even it out and then went to the hardware store to get new sealant to give it the glossy coat again. I have tried several products and none of them seem to work. They all look glossy when wet but then dry and i'm back to the old looking tile again. This tile is a brick color outdoor tile...similar to a terra cotta.
Do you have any suggestions?
I had thought of using a paint polyurathane, but most of them say "not for outdoor use".
Thank you and I love your show...tips.
