Hepatic encephalopathy in dogs
My dog was diagnosed with hepatic encephalopathy. He has a total loss of appetite. I have been force feeding him. He is on neomysin, laculose and denasyl. He wont eat anything. Does anyone know anything about this disease in dogs, its prognosis and how i can get him to eat? Is force feeding him bad? He had an mri which was clear. He was brought to the hospital because he was wobbly and lethargic. He had been taking 120 mg of phenobarbitol for 6 years. He is only 20 pounds.
