My 2wk old sons eye was crusted closed this morning. i cleaned it up and after his nap it was again. what is this and should i be worried? he has a dr appt in 2 days. i really dont want to take a newborn to the er with all the flu people there.

It is possible that it could be bacterial conjunctivitis (aka pink eye).
If your pediatrician's office has an advice line, I suggest calling to see whether you can wait for his appointment or if his symptoms need to be addressed now.
