I have been having testicular pain for quite a while, i have had a ct scan of pelvis and abdomen, cystoscopy, and an ultrasound of scrotum, only thing really found was a grade 2 varicocele, and i have tenderness of the epididymis, the urologist feels that he should remove the epididymis and if the varicocele is worse once he is doing the surgery remove that as well, does this sound like the right thing to do? I have been reading on the internet that the pain can go to the other testicle, should i have both epididymis removed? Before any surgery should i have an ultrasound of the prostate?
