What happens to men initially when new corporation leadership is put in place? Is there a ritual of testing that occurs?

What happens to other men in a company when a new leaderiship is put into place?  Background:  The labor intense work force is skilled not necessarily educated.  The new president has worked his way up the ladder, highly motivated very bright and in school.  Has several hard to attain certificates in his profession.  The woman have taken things into their own hands making sure things are being done properly, etc.  The groups that have been there longest refuse to do anything on their own time to invest in themselves thus making their jobs eaiser, help the business grow, receive more perks and bonuses which they cannot achieve without improvement, etc.  Instead they rather remain silos.  This is leadership that will truly make a difference.  We know the military approach will not work,  We had hoped that responsible adults would be the outcome of this change made in January.  Final announcement was made in June by owner and he has just officially moved into the presidents office.  Taking it slowly and deliberately, also teaching classes internally to help them gain confidence to educating themselves outside of the walls of work.

Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons.

I fully understand what you are saying. There have been thousands of articles written on this, thousands of opinions expressed on this, and when all is said and done, it comes down to one simple thing: looking out for number one. It has always been like this and it will never change. Human nature.
