Has this ever happened to anyone?

The other night I layed down to go to sleep and had the weirdest thing happen to me.I felt as if something entered my body.My body felt really weird. I heard voices in my head as if someone was trying to communicate with me.I couldn't understand what was being said but sounded like a lot of people talking at once from a distace(this was all being heard from inside my head).All of a sudden I heard someone whisper very clearly "I miss you" and then the weird feeling in my body went away as if whoever or whatever had left.During all this I was awake.I know this for a fact and was not dreaming and also not in paralyzed sleep.I thought maybe it was someone trying to communicate with me through telepathy or maybe someone who has died trying to communicate with me..I don't know. Has this ever happened to anyone else?What is this called and what was it?

Janissa 10; yes, I also have the identical 'dream/experience'.

my wife, Rita, died in 1987 after a long 7 yr- 'breast cancer, masdectomy, good oncologist reports, relaps, etc. we were devoted. .... a cut-short marvelous journey.

I never was sure whether the 'dream messages' - like yours... brief & intrapersonal.... continuing w/ regularity today as then occurred in my dreams or a brief awakening. unlike yourself I have rarely discussed them or even wondered as to their source. I JUST ACCEPT THEM ! i remain the....

Thank you for responding.The thing is that I KNOW I was still awake.I had just layed down to go to sleep when this happened.It was such a cool experience though. I just wish I knew who/what it was.
