It wil get better. They should have done learned the 3 comands by now. My answer is you have not been frim enough . I trained my 2 new born Labs,to sit, stay ,within 5 to 6 months of their birth. Now I spent many long hrs with them. I would work them est 30 min . in am 30 in pm. That is something that has to be constant. I thought I would lose it at first ,but it turned out the best hunting dogs I have ever had. They know me better than I know them I believe ,joking. I had to put my baby girl to sleep this past july. I still cry for her. Her leghal name was Dolly parton Gaspard .She was the best looking female dog around where I live. She was 6&1 half yrs old. I still have her brother ,name is Gater. He is a sweetie to. A great hunter also. I also used a chock chain just enough to get them to stop when I was teaching them they commands. Hope this helps you.
