Free Property Title Search, Find Owner Of Real Estate?

How to perform a free property title search?

I would like to find out information on real estate that I am interested in purchasing - who is the owner, how much they owe, and how much they paid for the property...

I use Gov property title search and from that link I can find out a property owner's name (if you don't have it) from the street address,

With the property owner's name you can check the property history at the same website Gov real estate searches . Here you can find out all the info that you require on the property.
It is not a free service, but considering the quality, ease and relevancy of information supplied, it's well worth it.

Before I used this website I wasted a Lot of time on so called free websites and other smaller county and governmental sites, some problems I encountered were:
1) The info from governmental and free real estate records sites were rarely current or extensive - unfortunately the small databases were seldom up to date or furnished with complete info so I always questioned the reliability of the data.

2) There was usually a charge at the so called "free" property title search sites anyway (they say the search is free but you must pay for the info?!) or otherwise a link to paid sites.

3) but Most importantly : Unfortunately these smaller property records sites are mostly limited to small regions or counties, and often possess directories / databases too small to obtain complete or accurate info.

Anyway, hope that helps, good luck with the searches.

If you are foreclosed upon and the property is sold, the Treasurer cannot issue a deed to the Purchaser until the redemption period is up - usually 75 days after the sale. Check with a real estate attorney in the state the property is located in.

All the best

How long to change ownership on property title deeds?

To buy a reposessed property but the title still shows the previous owner as owner and not the mortgage company.
Is this just a timing issue.

What did you just say?! Pay for the property?? Why would someone pay for the property in the first place?
