A finger for the Rainbow

I have songs I've written, screenplays I've written, Jingles I've written, commercials I've written, TV drama series I have written, inventions I have put together, and product improvement ideas.  It seems the only ligitimate advice is get an agent.  Any ideas how I can get my finger in that elusive rainbow of connections for my projects?

not knowing your personal abilities to display your talent it hard to steer you in the right direction. i myself have writen many songs....can't sing well enough to get people interested ,although they do like some of my lyrics, and music, i find working with a vocalist helpful, but sometimes hard to find a person you can trust with original compositions. if you find such a person then put together a demo c.d. 10-12 of your favorites....copywrite them....then spread the around to talent agents, either on line  or locally.....good luck, hope this was helpful......also every once in a while there are on line contest from known recording artist...the one come to mind is CHER had a contest the chord progression/melody was available  our mission was to write the lyrics..."IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME" was the lyrics that won that contest.
