Personal dilema............Dear friends, I hope this note finds you well, enjoying some warm weather. It has yet to snow here in Milwaukee, but it won't be long!
My name is Elaine Lovett. I am originally from Boston and moved here to Wisconsin when husband #1 took a job here. Well he found the grass to be greener after I gave birth to 5 of his children, elsewhere, and I raised the children by myself,moving to Milwaukee feeling that ther were more opportuniyies for me to teach and for the children to recieve a good education. I was renting for over 10 years while I taught 8th grade at a private school. Prince charming(LOL) rode in from Texas, stole my heart, and in 2003 we got married.After many job losses he finally landed a sales job.Because of scool closures, I was looking for employment.I found the perfect job and 3 months into it I was Diagnosed with a brain tumor. After a terrible surgery I have a paralized left side,and no vision in my right eye. I am on SS disability. I can not drive. WE moved into a house because I could no longer climb the 72 stairs to the apartment.Not the houseI would have chosen but it is adaquate . Husband #2 didn't want asick wife so after beating me, he is gone, We went through a legal separation in court and I grt a small maintanance per month and he paysthe mortgage for 4 years at which time the house needs to go on the market.I did get a small amountof a 401k in the settelment . My children are currently in college and the youngest will be off child support in May. I am at a loss as to what to do.Any advice would be well appreciated.
