Hi, My husband has been off work with no income since July 15, 2009. I work and make around $1,000.00 a month, plus I am receiving SSD for $608.00 per month. We have no savings left, no retirement, we are living month to month on very little and now receive food stamps and my husbands boss canceled our health insurance and we are getting Medical assistance through welfare. Our house payment is $832.00 a month. I have tried and do not qualify for any of the new refinance or Making Homes affordable programs. I have tried them all. Because of a bankruptcy my husband had 6 yrs ago I added him to some of my credit cards, etc to help build his credit. That shot my interest rates sky high and now my debt to income ratio is real bad. My husbands credit has come up alot, but is still at only 619. We love our house and don't want to loose it. My husband will be back to work and getting paid again soon. We want to try and start over, but we need to lower our interest on our credit cards, which is up to 29 to 32% now. We would like to refinance our home, but my husbands credit scrore is 619 and mine is 618. We need a 620 to refinance. We have a 6.75 interest rate now on our mortage through Bank of America. Any suggestions on how we can start to repair our lives. We did not deliberatly mess up. My husband health problems and his cut in pay at work and I lost my last job and also was injured and could not work. If we could even get someone to lower our interst rates so we can get some of this debt paid off it would help consideratly. Thanks So much, Debbie Snyder
