This is a bad situation. You should never have gotten involved with this doctor. Get away from him and start behaving yourself.

Sadie857,  I agree with Lido.  What kind of doctor is this anyway?  Family doctor, psychiatrist?  I think he is some type of player.  Why would he ask you for your phone number, when he already has it in the chart?  Was that to make you all tingly inside, thinking he has the hots for you?  Run, do not walk, far away from this "doctor", who only wants to play doctor, and not be a real healthcare provider, or a boyfriend, to you.

What you are feeling is infatuation, enhanced by lust and perhaps a soupcon of transference.

Do NOT continue pursuing a relationship with this man.

Instead, find another doctor immediately. Then, report this doctor to the medical licensing board. If he's done it with you, it's a cinch he's done it with others.

If you can't bring yourself to do the right thing (break it off and report him), then you need to find a qualified therapist who can help you discover why you think so little of yourself that you continue to pursue inappropriate 'relationships.'

   Please stop trying to figure out his intentions, let it go and move on.

   You did the right thing by switching doctors.  His behavior was inappropriate.  He was in a position of trust (doctors, therapists, teachers fall into this category) and he broke that trust by coming on/flirting with you.

   Step back and look at the situation critically.  It will tell you something about what type of person he is.

    Move on.  There is someone better for you.

Sadie ,  I agree with the posters above HOWEVER,  You also crossed the line , inappropriate behavior by both of you . You kissed him on the lips , you waited outside his office , you sent him a note where you would be . He showed up with another woman .  I am sure you are not the first he's played Doctor with . Stay away from this man he has bad judgement and absolutely no character .  We as women have men come on to us all the time , and put a stop to it , something you should have done with this man immediately .

Hello. I was sent this question by a friend and to be honest with you, this man is not crazy about you. 

 How do I know?  His behavior. 

He knows you are "in love" with him and he enjoys that fantastic feeling he has over your type.  He's lived this way most of his life. 

 He walks in to meet you with another woman on his arm?  If she is not his mother or his wife, then what do you think was his motive for doing that?  To make you jealous. 

 Doctor or no doctor, this guy is not dating material.  Stay with your new doctor if he/she stays professional and do not encourage any of your female friends to see this flirt.  He's thinking only of himself.  Good Luck.
