You will need to connect to the wireless device using the configuration utility.  In most cases, you can do this by browsing to the default IP address of the device (usually something like 192.168.1.1).  If you are unsure of the correct, username and password, you can probably look on the bottom/back of the device or in the owners manual.

Once you figure out how to connect, you can just enable security and set a password or key.
