Can ear plugs do any damage?

 


I swim and I used a verity of ear plugs, some guy I swim with told me he heard that if you use ear plugs in a certain way you might damage your hearing. How can this be?

No, using ear plugs protects - in extremely noisy environment - the hearing, but misusing it (for example, pushing it too deeply into the ear tunnel) might damage the ear tisssue.
