I work in a small office. Its me and another person. Occasionally we get an assistant to help here and there but it is rare. More than often, I find myself carrying the office and feeling bogged down by most of the workload. It would be easy to slack off but being the person I am, I couldnt allow it to happen as it wouldnt be right-the Customers whom depend on our services would suffer-not just the workload. So-knowing this, I am in a bad spot. I want a transfer and have made my manager aware of this. He's working on it but I havent spoken with my collegue. I believe my collegue feels things are alright and telling him Im transferring out would be a shock for him. We've worked as a team for so long I dont want to upset him either but on the other hand, Im tired of being the doormat for his opportunity to slack. Its hard to address this issue because we're friends-personally but professionally, I dont agree with his methods. How can I handle this or approach it in a way that I dont damage the friendship or cause riff? Should I just let things happen as they will and allow him to come with me with questions when the time comes
