I have a 1980s era Whirlpool Tightfist forced air ...

I have a 1980s era Whirlpool Tightfist forced air gas furnace. The blower now runs constantly even when the burners are off. Thermostat is new and works fine, but blower is always on. What can I do to remedy? Thanks , -Dave
