I am replacing the drain stop assembly for my bathtub. I assumed (stupidly of course) that the drainpipes were standard. The existing drainpipe narrows about an inch above the opening for the tailpiece. The drainpipe that came with my new drain stop assembly did not narrow until right above the opening for the tailpiece. The result is that the plug in the new assembly, when used with the existing drainpipe, does not completely block the water from the tailpiece. My question is: do the make plugs for the drain stop assemblies in different lengths? The one I bought is just under 2" long. A 3" long plug would do the trick. Thanks!
