Sorry, but it doesn't sound like she's into you. If she was into you then she wouldn't cancel on you half the time. It does sound like there could be a possiblity that there's something between her and her ex tho. I'm sorry but I'd end things with her if I were you.

Sorry but you are what I call plan B.  You sound like a great guy that should move on.  Stop waiting on her and if she is really into you she will come around and if not you keep moving on.

I am sorry but you need to run not walk away from this free spirit. She does not seem to be that into you. Plus she disrepects you. Even a good friend would not do this. More fish in the sea...Go fishing honey. And have a great time finding miss right. She is out there.Laughing

Actually, she sounds to me as if she's bipolar. Not a fgood person to be in a relationship with if it's not under control, and it doesn't sound as if it is.

I think you answered your own question..."I kinda feel like I'm being back burnered for something more important to her."  You described her as a free spirit and flakey.  You are probably into the excitement of living on the edge, but not really into her as a person.  When you get tired of this relationship, I expect you will move on towards someone with more substance who has the time, affection and love to offer.  It sounds like she is not ready for a long-term relationship, but is mostly interested in some short, fun adventures right now.

Updated Status:  I really like this girl and we have a blast together, so i decided to talk with her about my concerns.  She told me that she is afraid of getting hurt, so she puts up a barrier and remains distant.  She also said that she is very much into me and will committ at least one day a week for us to get together.  We spent the weekend together and she was very affectionate and seemed to open up a bit.  She descibed us as having moved to the next level and wanted a pact that we will not sleep with anyone else.  She said that she is a one man woman and that she is not seeing anyone else.  Should I beleive her?  My concerns are that she may be so emotionally hurt, that she does have another man in her life and is giving my what I need (she is now overly affectionate) so that I stick around.  Any thoughts on this developement?
