Back in the year 1947 I got out of the service, and re-registered for the draft. And received a 1-C classification. What does that mean? My brother held the same class, and he was in Europe during WWII.

Classification 1-C simply designated that you are, or were, a member of the Armed Forces of the United States, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration or the Public Health Service.
