Place cilantro in a glass of water. Place a plastic bag over the top and fold under the glass or hold it on with a large rubber band. This will keep for quite a while in the refrigerator and stays fresh.

My method is this: first of all take off any rubber bands if it has any on, and then loosely wrap it with a paper towl. Then put the wrapped leaves in a plastic box inside the refrigerator. This usually helps me to keep it fresh for up to a week.

Let me help you sort through the world of home repair.

All soft herbs like cilantro are vulnerable to cold temperatures. If your refrigerator is too cold this may cause the herbs to freeze slightly resulting in spoilage. I like to wrap my herbs in a little paper towel and store them in one of the drawers.  I also avoid keeping them packed tight in large bundles as they will suffocate and get crushed from the weight of themselves.
