It really depends on what contract you signed and if you are following your employer regulations.If you ask to be released because of religious purposes I am pretty sure if the labor relations allow it it will be fine. My niece works for Walmart. She is the head of several depts. She said it depends if you told them your religious views when you hired in. If you did, they will honor your views.
