I know the basics (ni hao, ni hao ma, xie xie, bu ...

I know the basics (ni hao, ni hao ma, xie xie, bu ke qi, du bu qi, dui bu dui, hao, hao le, etc., & the tones) but I don't know the grammar at all. Can someone (briefly) explain Mandarin Grammar to me? It would help me so much. I've heard it's not that hard. Also, should i be learning grammar first, or conversational phrases, or just building up my chinese vocabulary? Thanks for all of the help!
